HALLOWEEN MAKE-UP Step By Step

With Halloween approaching, I know many of you are starting to come up with ideas for your scary outfits. Gothic fashionistas, masked monsters, creepy vampires... all looks are possible and everybody wants to look their best.

Below you'll find a step-by-step tutorial for this Halloween make-up look I have come up with for my own medoll.

It's a gothic look, essentially, vibrant but very simple, yet dramatic, and it'll match anything so check it out !

STEP 1 - Start with a fresh face. Take time to choose among the many facial features available and modify their position. Make sure your doll looks pretty, and her unique face shows some character. (Note: in case you're wondering, I chose the last eyes on the third row and the famous you disgust me mouth.)

STEP 2 - Apply one layer of Plum Lipstick. Then, apply another on the upper lip. It's no biggie if it gets on upper part of your lower lip, it's in fact preferable. (This is how I've done it. You can get a similar result by apply one coat of Deep Red Lipstick instead of Plum.)

STEP 3 - Apply one coat of Red Lipstick

STEP 4 - Put on your mascara. I used Black Volumizing Mascara.

STEP 5 - Apply your black eyeliner. I used Dots' Black Eye Kohl. Do not use fluid liner to do this, the effect will be very different. Emphasize the outter corners of your medoll's eyes and work towards the center.

STEP 6 - Now it's time to apply your white eyeshadow. I used the White Collection Shadestick, but the other white eyeshadows will also work. Again, for this look, you'll want to apply a little bit more on the outter corners of your eyes.

STEP 7 - This step is very important. This is where you put on some white eyeliner, to lighten up your lids and highlight the inner corners of your medoll's eyes. Use the White Collection Eyepencil on your upper lids and the White Collection Liquid Liner on the inner corners.

STEP 8 - This step is crucial. Time to put some color on your lids with the Dusty Pink Shade Stick by Dots. First, apply a light coat on the area above the inner corners of your eyes. Then, apply a darker, horizontal coat above your upper lids (it should go above the white line you just drew with your eyepencil, not on top of it). And after this is done, focus on the outer corner of your eyes, apply your eyeshadow from the edge towards the center.

STEP 9 - With your eyes and lips done, it's time for some blush. I find the Magenta Blush by Dots to be particularly suiting for this look. As you can see, I have applied it vertically, along the edges of my medoll's face, stopping right below the cheekbones.

STEP 10 - You're done with the make-up! Time to see if there's anything you can change about your medoll's facial features. Try on different mouths and eyes, different hairdos and eyebrows. You'll be surprised to noticed that some fit the make-up you just applied way better than the ones you'd chosen!

That's it, you're done now! Have fun accessorizing creativily.

For this look I picked Gaga's black hairbow, for being so dramatic and peculiar, perfect for Halloween season!

Hope you enjoyed this tutorial. Happy Halloween season everyone!
